VP Sara visits the wake of 4 soldiers killed in Maguindanao del Norte ambush

DAVAO CITY –— – Vice President Sara Z. Duterte visited the wake of the four soldiers at the headquarters of the 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division, Philippine Army, at Camp Siongco, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte, on Monday afternoo.

The Vice President shared the grief of the bereaved families as she spoke to the families of the fallen soldiers one by one.

She Sara offered prayers and handed cash assistance to the families.

The soldiers who died were identified as Pvt Marvin Dumaguing, Pvt Jessie James Corpuz, PFC Carl Araña all under the 40th Infantry (Magiting) Battalion and Cpl Creszaldy Espartero of the 3rd Cavalry.

The fallen soldiers were killed in an ambush by terrorist groups after they delivered office supplies and bought food for the ‘Iftar’ of residents in Sitio Bagurot, Tuayan, Datu Hoffer, Maguindanao del Sur, before 10:00, yesterday on morning

The Philippine Army condemned the brutal and inhuman killing of government troops whose sole purpose was to protect the people against evil elements.

The Vice President also visited the wounded soldiers who are recovering at Camp Siongco Station Hospital.
