OZAMIZ– A 21-year-old Ozamiznon has secured the third spot in the November 2023 Midwifery Licensure examination.

Lerah Donor Dalid, hailing from Barangay Bacolod, Ozamiz City, achieved an impressive 91.30-percent average rating, placing her among the 2,800 newly licensed midwives in the country.

Dalid, a graduate of Misamis University in Ozamiz City, expressed her surprise at being among the top ten examinees.

She candidly admitted facing difficulty in one of the five exam subjects, particularly in the Infant Care and Feeding (ICF) section. However, her co-reviewees remained optimistic that she would secure a spot in the top ten.

To her astonishment, and to the expectations of others, she indeed made it to the top 3.

“All those sleepless nights of study and review are truly worth it. Finally, my efforts and all my hard work paid off,” she added.

Miss Dalid acknowledged that her achievements would not have been possible without the love and support of her family, relatives, and friends. She expressed gratitude to everyone who inspired her and contributed to her success.

“Above all, I am forever grateful to Jehovah God, the One who has given me the strength, the knowledge, and the talent,” Dalid said.

The licensure exams took place from November 5 to 6.

The University of Northern Philippines – Vigan claimed the top-performing school title with a 100 percent passing rate— all of its 40 examinees passed. Following closely were Bohol Island State University – Calape with a passing rate of 98.25 percent and the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State University – Candon with a 97.44 percent passing rate.

Janelle Fauni of the Cavite State University (Don Severino Agricultural College) emerged as the batch’s topnotcher, securing a rating of 91.65 percent, followed by Mary Espiso of the same school with a 91.55 percent rating.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the results for the November 2023 Midwifery Licensure examination yesterday.

PRC stated that the date and venue of the oath-taking ceremony for the successful examinees would be announced at a later date. (NEPTALIE BATOLENIO)
