Masara landslide death toll rises to 98

DAVAO CITY-– The death toll of the February 6 Masara landslide in Davao de Oro has risen to 98 with 9 persons remain missing as of Saturday.

This as the retrieval operation continues in Barangay Masara, Maco town in Davao de Oro.

Mayor Voltaire Rimando has earlier claimed village chief Douglas Dumalagan Jr. did not report the incident to him or to the Municipal Disaster Risk and Reduction Office (MDRRMO).

While Dumalagan said he reported it to MDRRMO Chief Ariel Capoy.
