MANILA (September 6) – The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) has temporarily suspended the acceptance of all mail and parcels bound for the United States starting August 28, 2025, until further notice.
The move comes after the US government suspended its duty-free de minimis exemption and introduced new customs requirements, prompting PHLPost to halt services to prevent inconvenience to its customers.
In a public advisory issued on September 2, PHLPost said clients with items already lodged for shipment to the US may request retrieval and a refund, subject to existing guidelines and proper documentation.
The suspension covers all postal items bound for the US that were accepted from August 22, 2025, onward.
PHLPost assured the public that updates will be released once services resume and appealed for patience and understanding as it complies with international policy changes.
