Baganga Celebrates 120 Years of Progress

BAGANGA – Baganga, a municipality in Davao Oriental, has marked a significant milestone as it commemorates its 120th anniversary, transforming from a humble community into one of the progressive towns in the province.

The transition to becoming a progressive municipality is evident in the proliferation of commercial and business establishments, spanning from the town center to the east coast of Baganga. This growth is further underscored by various government infrastructure projects.

The gradual development of Baganga is the result of the dedicated efforts of local officials over the years and the unwavering support of the provincial government.

Mayor Ronald “Pepot” Lara, during his brief message on the occasion, expressed his gratitude and emphasized the potential for continued growth in Baganga.

Governor Niño Sotero Uy Jr. also conveyed his greetings, acknowledging the progress in Baganga and the promising opportunities for the future.

Furthermore, the tourism and agriculture sectors in Baganga have flourished, attracting the attention of investors. The effective maintenance of peace and order has contributed to the town’s safety and tranquility.

The local government is committed to achieving sustainable progress through gradual and deliberate efforts, with the hope that future generations will witness the town’s remarkable transformation, thanks to the collaboration between government officials and the community.

Baganga aims to continually grow and shine as a beacon of progress, and it is the LGU’s wish for its people to take pride in the magnificence of Baganga.
