DAVAO CITY (April 6) — The Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID) arrested an American national who is a string of criminal cases in the United States.

Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente identified the suspect as Antonio Marsonel Wilson, 38, who has been issued arrest warrant by the US district court in Warren County, Kentucky.

Wilson was arrested by the Bureau’s Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) on March 27 in Angeles City, Pampanga.

Morente said, aside from murder, Wilson was also indicted on charges of first-degree assault, domestic violence, first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a firearm and handgun by a convicted felon, tampering with physical evidence, trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia.

It was learned that Wilson had also pleaded guilty to drug conspiracy and four counts of distributing crack cocaine.

Morente described the American as a “hardened and incorrigible criminal whose presence here poses a serious threat to the lives and well-being of Filipinos.”

The BI board of commissioners will issue the order for Wilson’s deportation to facilitate his immediate expulsion to the US so he could be made to answer for his crimes.

Wilson also made headlines in Kentucky June last year after deputies from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office reportedly arrested Wilson for assaulting and attempting to shoot his son with a handgun.

Wilson’s son said he grabbed his father by the arm holding the gun and held on to it as his father bit him.

He was struck in the left side of the head by the gun during the incident that he was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Wilson is currently held in BI’s detention center in Bicutan, Taguig pending his deportation.-NewsLine.ph
