Cache of firearms, shabu found inside Parojinog’s hotel, security office

OZAMIZ CITY, Philippines — Police authorities here discovered high powered firearms,anti-tank rocket-propelled grenade launcher and  shabu,  inside the hotel and the security agency owned by Councilor Ricardo Parojinog.

Armed with search warrant issued by Judge Rio Concepcion  Achas of MTCC Branch 2 ,  City Police director , Chief Inspector Jovie  Espenido,  searched Dottie’s Inn and MROP Security Agency, the businesses owned by Parojinog along Baradero St. this city. Monday night, April 30, 2018.

The  authorities discovered 2 anti-tank rockets, 2 RPG,  15 12-gauge shotgun, 18 9-mm pistol, eight .38 revolver and 1 M-16 rifle.

They  also found 148 live ammunition of 9mm pistol, 73 ammu for .38 revolver and 17 magazines for 9-mm pistol.

A surprised Espenido quipped  “This is the only security agency I know  which keep an anti-tank rocket.”

The police invited the caretakers of the properties to the police station, they will stand witness to the discovery of the high powered firearms.

Dottie’s Inn and MROP security agencies ceased to operate since Parojinog went into hiding.

After searching the building, the police  proceeded to the farm owned by a certain Ian Dionson at Barangay Sangay Dako, and found two packs of shabu weighing ¼ kilo, with an estimated street value of P4M; two rifle grenade, two 40 mm  rifle grenade and one M16 rifle with M203 grenade launcher.

Police applied for search warrant after they arrested  Joven dela  Vega, the former  driver/bodyguard  of the Parojinog’s.

Espenido also invited to the police station, Elmer Prenio,  the farm care taker. The police will file charges against Parojinog .-Neptalie Batolenio/Newsline.ph
