A report from Kananga Municipal Police Station showed that the accident happened at around 3 o’clock in the afternoon, along the national highway of Montebello village in Kananga town.

Police identified the fatality as Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center (EVRMCC) chief medical technician Virgilio ‘Bong’ Hubilla Jr., 57 chief medical technologist and a resident of Barangay Sto. Niño, Tanauan, Leyte.

Three vehicles figured in the crash one of which is the vehicle of Hubilla, while two others were a Mitsubishi Expander, going to Ormoc City, and an Isuzu Elf truck.
