DCPO Drug Enforcement Unit Personnel tested negative in surprise drug test

DAVAO CITY— Negative!

All personnel from the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of the Davao City Police Office passed the surprise drug test and none was found positive of illegal drugs.

he unannounced screening, organized by PCOL Hansel M. Marantan, Acting City Director, took place at 1:30 PM at the Sandigan Hall, DCPO Main Building on October 31.

The random drug test, led by PLt Col. Florepes Pallado from the Davao City Forensic Unit (DCFU), included 306 DEU members.

The initiative is part of DCPO’s continuous measures to maintain a drug-free police force and reinforce transparency within its ranks.

According to DCPO, the test results were all negative, confirming that no DEU personnel tested positive for illegal substances.

This outcome strengthens the DCPO’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and ensuring public trust in its operations.

“We are committed to ensuring that all members of the DEU not only excel in their duties but also uphold the highest ethical standards, both on and off duty,” Marantan stated. “This surprise drug test is part of our ongoing commitment to fostering a clean and effective police force.”

The DCPO reaffirmed its dedication to combating illegal drugs in Davao City while ensuring that its personnel are exemplary in their conduct, promoting confidence in the police force’s mission and values.
