DAVAO CITY — Even though her loved one is in another world, a young woman named Azia Jean Ayala decided to go ahead with her wedding to Mardie Perdez on November 13, 2023 in a secluded village in Sitio Sagana, Barangay Sampao, Kapalong, Davao del Norte. .

Mayor Tess Timbol told Newsline Philippines “This union of love cannot be legalized, but in Aiza’s heart and mind she still shows her great love for Mardie.”
Azia and Mardia were scheduled to get married in Manila on November 9, but Mardie died on November 1, in Manila due to illness.

With the help of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Mardia’s body was brought home to his Barangay.

Azia asked the Mayor to get married and was respected by the Mayor, but Mayor Tess explained to the girl that their marriage no longer has a legal basis because Mardie can no longer answer their “Wedding Vow” and the question of whether it is voluntary. married because it is dead.

The Mayor added, “Aiza really showed her true love for Mardie and she kept her promise to make their love together.”

He and Mardie met in Manila and that’s where their love started. Several times their plan to get married did not go ahead due to various weather challenges. But for the third time, their love will never be united because Mardie passed away due to illness.

Despite the painful incident, Aiza still asserted her love for Mardie and married her.

Mardie was buried on Wednesday, November 15.
