Malungon, Sarangani Province – Municipal councilors in Malungon, Sarangani Province marked the occasion of the Philippine Councilors Week with an environmental and re-greening program. The event took place on September 18 in Barangay Upper Mainit.

This celebration aligns with Presidential Proclamation Number 212, Series of 1993, which designates the first week of September each year as Philippine Councilors Week.

Having reached its 30th year, the League was granted the privilege to organize a distinct celebration with the theme “PCL: Synergy of Creative Programs and Best Practices Towards Global Collaboration.”

The highlight of the event was a clean-up drive and tree-planting activity that brought together municipal councilors from Malungon. This initiative demonstrates their commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability.

The Philippine Councilors League (PCL) took this opportunity to emphasize its dedication to fostering cooperation among local government officials for innovative programs and initiatives that contribute to global collaboration and community development.

The event symbolizes the PCL’s role in promoting environmental consciousness and sustainable practices among local government units.
