National athlete, coach padayong makadawat sa ilang binulang allowance

DAVAO CITY — Gipaniguro ni Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman William “Butch” Ramirez nga padayong makadawat ang mga national athlete, coach ug mga empleyado sa nagkadaiyang sports agency sa ilang binulang allowance.

“Iyong mga allowances ng atleta, coaches at pasweldo para sa empleyado ng PSC ay tuloy tuloy,” sibya ni Ramirez sa Radyo Pilipinas niadtong Huwebes, Abril 9.

Matud pa ni Ramirez nga wala gyud magpasagad ang PSC sa pag-atiman sa ilang mga atleta.

Sa miaging bulan, gipapauli na nila sa ilang mga probinsiya ang mga atleta aron makauban nila ilang mga pamilya samtang gipaubos ang tibuok Luzon sa Enhanced Community Quarantine.

Gipasabot usab ni Ramirez nga duna pa nuoy mga 30 ka atleta, kasagaran “differently abled,” ug pipila ka coach ang natanggong hangtud karon sa Philsports Complex sa Pasig tungod sa kwarentina.

“Pero lahat po sila ay well provided for, lalo na sa pagkain,” dugang ni Ramirez.

Gipahibalo usab ni Ramirez ang online service sa mga PSC psycologist ngadto sa mga atleta para malikayan ang pagkabalaka, kahadlok o bisan unsang negatibong epekto nga nadalit sa Covid-19 outbreak.

Niingon usab si Ramirez nga gibantayan pud ni PSC chief of staff Marc Velasco ang mga kahimtang sa mga atleta nga tua karon sa laing mga nasud, sama nilang EJ Obiena (Italy), Carlos Yulo (Japan), ug Hidilyn Diaz (Malaysia).

Ang sports, matud pa ni Ramirez, dili lang labot sa kadaugan, medalya, insentibo, ug pasidungog, kung dili ang dalan aron mahimong disiplinado ang usa ka indibidwal.

Dugang pa niya nga ang kasamtangang krisis usa ka hagit sa karakter sa mga atleta kung unsaun nila pag-angkon og igong ka-alerto ug isog aron pagsumpo sa Covid-19.

Ang maong krisis nakahatag usab og oportunidad sa mga atleta nga makauban ang ilang pamilya nga kanunay lang nilang mabiyaan tungod sa ilang training ug mga dula, sumpay sa PSC chief.
