One missing, over 400 families affected by #TDKabayan in Davao Region

DAVAO CITY — One person has been declared missing while 411 families have evacuated due to Tropical Storm Kabayan in Davao Region.

Based on the report from the Office of Civil Defense XI, 411 families affecting 1,833 individuals were evacuated to a safer grounds in the provinces of Davao de Oro and Davao Oriental.

In Caraga, Davao Oriental, the provincial government posted that Barangay Lamiawan bridge collapsed. The bridge links the town center to to Barangay Pichon.

Flooding in six areas were also reported in Davao Oriental.

The report also stated that three (3) road sections and a bridge were damaged in Davao Oriental, while three (3) roads were affected by the storm.

Three ports were also affected, one in Davao City, one in Davao Oriental and one in Davao oriental.

Classes were suspended in Davao region.

Residents of Sitio Sangab in Barangay Pichon, Caraga town in Davao Oriental also reported that their road is no longer passable after the landslide took place late Monday afternoon.
