Torre assumes as 49th CIDG Chief

DAVAO CITY —- Davao Region’s Police Regional Director Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III on Thursday assumed as the 49th Acting Director of CIDG September in a simple in Camp Crame in a simple ceremony.

The turnover was presided by Police LtGen Jon Arnaldo ceremony 26, 2024 – In a simple yet solemn turnover ceremony held today at the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Headquarters in Camp BGen Rafael Arnaldo, The Chief of the Directorial Staff of the Philippine National Police (PNP);

Torre who just led the PNP’s victory in the surrender of televangelist APollo QUiboloy, after a 16-day operations thanked PNP Chief Rommel Marbil for the trust.

In his short speech, Torre acknowledged the contribution of Police Major General Leo Francisco as he vowed to continue the best practices which he implemented in CIDG.

Torre emphasized that unity and teamwork will remain essential to the CIDG’s continued success.

Arnaldo expressed confidence in PBGEN TORRE, emphasizing Torre’s extensive experience in handling complex criminal investigations and his dedication to public service make him the right person to lead CIDG. I am confident that under his leadership, CIDG will continue its relentless efforts to combat crime and protect the public.”
