KIDAPAWAN – Led by the Provincial Governor’s Office-Population Gender and Development (PGO-PopGAD) Division, the Youth for Youth (U4U) Program was successfully inaugurated at South Manuangan High School and Presbitero High School in the town of Pigcawayan, Cotabato.

The program aims to equip young individuals with comprehensive knowledge about issues affecting them, such as smoking, alcohol consumption, drug abuse, depression, peer pressure, and other social challenges they may encounter.

Over the course of a two-day activity, training commenced for forty (40) student facilitators from the two aforementioned schools. They shared their experiences and insights to enhance their effectiveness in guiding their fellow youth.

A crucial component of the training was the Teen Trail, where facilitators engaged and mentored 240 participating students from grades 7 and 8 enrolled in the U4U Program.

Governor Emmylou “Lala” J. Taliño-Mendoza expressed her full support for the U4U Program, emphasizing its alignment with the provincial government’s goal of ensuring a bright future for the youth.
