Zero coronavirus case for DavNor in 16 days

DAVAO CITY –— The stringent measure in the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in Davao del Norte and people’s cooperation has reflected a zero note for coronavirus pandemic in the said province.

Governor Edwin Jubahib said, since March 30, the provincial health office logbook on Covid-19 reflected no new cases.

Jubahib said “As of April 16, 2020, at 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon, a total of 203 Persons under Monitoring (PUM) are still under observation, while 3,767 PUMs were already “cleared”, meaning, they already completed the 14-day home quarantine without manifesting symptoms”.

However, the health authorities recorded the following: there are four (4) Persons under Investigation (PUI); 2 are currently admitted in DRMC while another 2 is at SPMC. Eighty-seven (87) PUIs were already discharged with negative results.

As of today, Davao del Norte has 5 COVID-19 POSITIVE CASES currently admitted to Davao Regional Medical Center (DRMC) Tagum City: 1) PH1512, 34, male, with travel history in Davao City; 2) PH 1540, 57, male, with travel history in Davao City; 3) PH 1665, 39, male, with exposure to a PUI with travel history in Davao City; 4) PH 3106, 38, male, contact with PH 4445; 5) PH 3105, male, originally from Maguindanao, with travel history in Maco, Davao de Oro.

Jubahib said they have 4 successful recoveries, 3 from Tagum City and 1 from Panabo City, with the following details: 1. PH1511, 52, male, with travel history in Manila; 2. PH 2121, 51, male, with travel history in Davao City; 3. PH 3100, 14, male, with travel history in Cebu and Davao City; 4. PH 2101, 33, male, with travel history in Davao City.

Even with its noticeable success, Jubahib urged “We must continue the practice, stay at home, proper handwashing with soap and water for 20-seconds, and practice social distancing”.

“We can heal as one province, we stand together for one another, and regardless of religious belief, we must pray for each other, because we are a strong province,” Jubahib concluded.-Editha Z. Caduaya/NewsLine
